About Jawzz Inc

In 2006...

The co-founder of Jawzz, Inc., Matt McGarry, was working in South Florida as the director of a Police Athletic League boxing club. One of the boxers at the PAL had showed him a plain red custom fit mouthguard that he had purchased from his dentist for $400! Matt knew he could do better than that. He introduced the idea to his wife and co-founder, Kim McGarry. She knew he was onto something. That’s when they began their research into the mouthguard industry. They realized most of the dental laboratories that the dentists are sending their work to, are behind the times. They are still using the vacuum machines when creating a custom mouthguard. By using the vacuum machine, the dentist is limiting the protection and proper fit of the mouthguard to the patient. After months of research, they had figured out how to make a higher quality mouthguard for half the price. This is when they opened up their Dental Laboratory (Sportguard Laboratories East) and Jawzz, Inc., was created.

Jawzz, Inc., realized that younger athletes as well as the adult athletes appreciate protective equipment when they have the ability to design what will actually be on the mouthguard. Jawzz knew they had to stand out from the rest. That was when they brought in their team of artists to help them create outstanding designs that give the athlete the option to be as creative as they want to be on their own mouthguard. This has helped Jawzz, Inc. to stand out from the rest by having the best mouthguards in the game!!
